We have frequently referred to Honey as is the most amazing nutritional and  most of all, natural product. Honey, as an ingredient, contains nearly all of the ingredients that are necessary for the human body to live. It is also used through the ages as an effective natural cure.

As with everything, it has more than one variety (and there is a taste for everybody): Mountain honey, wildflower honey, pine honey, acacia honey, clover honey, eucalyptus honey, orange blossom honey and so many more.

So it is only natural, if we simply state the 10 most amazing benefits of honey and the bees that bring this wonderful ingredient to us:

Honey Benefit#2: Honey is a very powerful natural energy booster. It provides a quick energy.

Honey Benefit #3: Honey is one of nature’s natural sweeteners. You can use it as an alternative to sugar, especially in your tea, milk, baking and other types of cooking.

So, honey stored in air tight containers will never spoil.  Amazing fact: archaeologists found sealed honey vats in King Tut’s tomb in Egypt, contained edible honey, despite over 2,000 years beneath the desert sands.

Honey Benefit #9: Honey has the ability to cure minor wounds and cuts.Becaue (again) it doesn’t contain water, it allows your body to heal easily.  If you have a wound or cut, clean it gently with lukewarm water and apply a layer of honey on the affected area. Then cover it  with a bandage. You will see the difference within a day.

Honey Benefit #10: Got a burn? Due to its antibacterial and antifungal properties, honey can prevent bacterial growth and the antimicrobial properties prevent infection. If you have a minor burn ) playing with the matches again, huh?)  simply apply raw honey to the affected area. Within a few minutes, you will feel relief from the burning.

Here are some interesting facts about the bees, we bet that you didn’t know:

– Bees exist for a few million years!

– As grose as it sounds, the bee is the only insect that produces food eaten by humans (and bears)
