Hi Urbangrainers (I think I just invented a new fan club!)
Today we have a great surprise. Drum roll please….
How to marinate pork (or any meat) and serve it with fantastic healthy green salad!
Lets get our ingredients first:
- 600gr pork (lean)
- 200gr spinach
- 100gr rocket
- 2 small lettuce
- Urbangrains pomegranate sauce
- 150gr feta cheese
- A handful of small tomatoes
- Pomegranate seeds (as many as you awant)
- A handful of pecans
- Some parsley
- 3 Spring onions
- 2 table spoons of olive oil
- Some rosemary
First, a basic instruction on how to marinate the steak: Use three tablespoons of Urbangrains pomegranate sauce and mix it with some olive oil. Add some rosemary. Put the steaks in a bowl and cover with cling film. Put in the fridge for 1 hour.
At the end you will have marinated steak like the following:
Now, start preparing the salad:
Wash all the greens THOROUGHLY. You see, when you buy a ready made salad or a any type of green from your local supermarket, it is sprayed with pesticides, has a lot of dirt, and it also covered in a chlorine solution to kill germs. So please please please, wash your greens before you eat them!
Look at those lovely greens. We have spinach on the top left, small tomatoes in the centre, lettuce on the top right, spring onion on the bottom left, rocket in the center and parsley at the bottom right.
Aren’t they lovely?
Mix all greens in a bowl. Add pomegranate seeds, the pecan, tomatoes.
Now, prepare a very healthy vinegraitte using extra virgin olive oil and the pomegranate sauce. Now it is very important to know that the sauce is made of freshly cut pomegranates, crushed and mixed with olive oil vinegar, salt and red wine! There is nowthing artificial about it and it is NOT made from poemgranate molasses (which is a syrupy extract of a pomegrante that has been treated)
Add that mixture to the salad:
Now, add some feta cheese, some salt, and mix very well
Now, remove the steaks from the fridge and put them in a pan. Add some water and if you want sprinkle with some olive oil. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees for 1o minutes.
When 10 minutes have passed, place the pan with the steaks in the oven and lower the temperature to 180 degrees for about 30 minutes.
And that’s it – remove from the oven, serve, and you are ready to eat!
After baking it in the oven for these 30 or so minutes, the pork becomes tender and moist. See?
Now, should you need some extra touch, add some pomegranate sauce on top of the meat – it adds some extra sweetness and exotic taste.
And here is my final result:
