Simple Starter With Blackeyed Peas And Tahini

Here is a supereasy recipe that you can make in 3 minutes flat.

All you need is a 3-4 slices of bread and a jar of Urbangrains Blackeyed peas with tahini. We selected this today because  in the jar, a wealth of vegetarian ingredients are included:

  • Black eyed peas (full of nutrients and protein fiber),
  • Red peppers,
  • Carrot,
  • Tahini (the dark coloured cream made from soaked, pealed, roasted and finely pounded sesame seeds – think kind of peanut butter, but with sesame – more amazing!),
  • Pickled cucumber
  • Parsley
  • Onion
  • Oregano
  • Lemon,
  • Vinegar
  • Olive oil

Talking about the Vegans paradise – in a jar!  Urbangrains black eyed peas with tahini

Salivating? We did, so we created this simple recipe as a starter:

Step #1: Cut a nice soft bread into 3-4 thick slices (but not too thick)

Next, sprinkle a few drops of extra virgin olive oil and throw the slices to the toaster.

Wait for 5-7 minutes for your bread to get a nice brown color and be pipping hot. Remove.

Then, if you have some rocket (I have some leftovers from yesterday) cut it to the size that it fits you and add the contents of the jar. Mix them together to make a nice salad.

All you have to do then, is add the mixture of black eyed peas on the toasted bread, and you have a wonderfull, amazing starter – or lunch!
