The Easiest Pesto With Extra Virgin Olive Oil You Have Ever Made

Watching a food show last night on the telly, I had an inspiration for a quick pasta recipe.

Obviously, you know how to make pasta :-)

So this is a classic Mediterranean, Italian-style pesto, which is based on three simple ingredients:

Well, here is the magic – simply mix all ingredients together using a blender.

Upon having your pasta ready, add the pesto on top, or throw it in the pasta and mix it.

Here is how my pest looks like:

Now, if you do not use the entire recipe, you can keep it in the fridge for up to one week. Remember, this sauce contains feta cheese, which goes bad after a while. Having the extra olive oil is not only a greasing benefit but acts as a preservation agent.

If you think that the next time you can use is will be … next month, store it in a bottle, and put it to the freezer.

This way, ou will have a pesto sauce, everytime you need it – why buy it from the supermarket, when you can make it yourself?
