With more people turning vegetarian in the UK every year, you can no longer serve just anything to suit their dietary requirements. Guests appreciate it so much more when you really put thought into what you serve them and even go out of the way to fulfil their appetites. It takes little effort to put together – even easier if you have your Urbangrains products at hand. This is what we put on our platter:
1 jar Mild Piquillo peppers, drained
1 jar Sweet pickled cornichons, drained
1 packet Urbangrains Feta Cheese, drained and cubed (reserve some to stuff the peppers with)
1 punnet Sun-soaked cherry tomatoes, drained
1 packet Urbangrains Kalamon Olives, drained
Fill the peppers with cubes of Feta cheese. Lay out the platter at least an hour before serving, thereby giving each of the ingredients to come to room temperature. Make sure you put out some cocktail picks alongside the platter, as well as a receptacle to collect used picks.
Quite often you find the traditional platters made up of olives, Parma Ham, Chorizo or chargrilled artichokes. It’s nice to put together something original that will keep your vegetarian family members and friends happy
